The 6th Commandments rests on life being a gift from God (Acts 17:24-25), and people being made in God’s image (Genesis 9:6). Lawful government, as God’s servant (Romans 13:4), may execute criminals and fight just wars. The 6th Commandment to not murder includes suicide, abortion (Psalm 139:13-16), euthanasia, and doctor assisted suicide. Exceptions to this should be exceptional. Furthermore, this commandment includes hatred in your heart (Matthew 5:22), and not helping people with their physical needs (Matthew 25:42-43). Take the initiative to be reconciled with people (Matthew 5:23-24). Value life, value people, and all the implications of that.
