Bible Text: Judges 2:1-19 |

Series:

Sin, like a Trojan horse, is willingly invited into our life but it brings us a whole lot of trouble. The next generation of Israelites, after Joshua, did not know the Lord or follow Him. They embraced the gods of the culture around them. They were caught in a cycle of sin, negative consequences, and a Judge delivering them. The entire book of Judges repeats this cycle over and over. The way to break the cycle is through repentance. Repentance means: 1. Admitting what you did wrong. 2. Feeling sorrow for the hurt it caused, and 3. Turning from it. Gary Chapman reminds us “We are never better for having sinned.” Learn from the Judges. Break from the sin cycle by repentance and surrender. We’re always better off when we do.
