Bible Text: 2 Samuel 12:1-10 |

Series:

David was Israel’s most famous King. There are more stories in the Bible about David than anyone else except Jesus. David ruled the country well, but he did not do so well as a parent and he had some significant character flaws. In the story of David and Bathsheba, David lusted, coveted, stole another man’s wife, committed adultery and murdered her husband to try to cover his sins up.

What can we learn from this? 1. The Bible is open and honest about it’s flawed heroes, 2. Don’t listen to/dwell on temptation, 3. Sin has consequences, Galatians 6:7, 4. Even very tragic sins can be forgiven, Psalm 103:8-12, and 5. God can still use us after we fall.
