Bible Text: Luke 3:1-20 |

John the Baptist broke a 460-year prophetic silence when God gave him a message of repentance (Luke 3:2). Repentance means to turn from sin. It's not just going through the motions. Repentance means you acknowledge what you've done that's wrong, you feel sorrow for it, and you change your behavior. There are many things we repent of and turn from. For the growing Christian, repentance never ends. The Holy Spirit continually reveals to us things we need to change. Be encouraged! God is kind and patient with us in the area of repentance (Romans 2:4).
