Daniel's prayer for the exiled people of Israel is a pattern we can use to pray for the church and our nation. Daniel started with the Bible. This gave him a Biblical view of reality, a Godly mindset (John15:7), as he prayed. The biggest single aspect of his prayer was confession, with strong words for sin like "wicked" and "rebelled," Daniel included himself in the confession. He felt a corporate responsibility for Israel's rebellion against God. Be encouraged, one person can pray for a nation and make a difference (James 5:16).
