God in the Old Testament

Who is God? If we picked one Old Testament passage to answer that, it would be Exodus 34:6-7. God is compassionate, gracious and slow to anger. He abounds in faithful love to His children. That love flows to 1000 generations, yet sin is punished to the 3^rd and 4^th generation. God’s heart naturally turns to compassion and kindness. When God punished Israel for their sin, He rejoiced when He could once again restore their land. God is infinitely compassionate and infinitely ready to forgive. May we think bigger thoughts of God’s heart and let Him love us!
