Bible Text: Job 2:1-10 | Pastor Keith Bergstrom
We need to be prepared for how we think about God when disaster and calamity come. In all likelihood, sooner or later, all of us will experience a traumatic event. Satan wants to destroy your faith and trust in God, just as he tempted Job to curse God and abandon his faith. Job, however, believed in God for who He was, not for what God would do for him. In Job's worldview there were no accidents. God's sovereign goodness was behind every "natural" and "human" event. It's one kind of faith that praises God when He gives, and another deep, strong, tenacious faith, that praises God when He takes away. There is no better way to express our love for God than by exercising tenacious faith in difficult times.
