God wants what's best for us, which is Himself. Anything, absolutely anything or anyone, more important than God is an idol. Idols are shadows and counterfeits of the One True God. Counterfeits are worthless & get you in trouble. Satan is a master counterfeiter, he can only counterfeit. His goal is to keep you away from taking hold of God by distracting you with idols/counterfeits. Don't settle for a shadow, a counterfeit of the real thing. Take hold of the One True God, and never let go.
