Bible Text: Luke 9:1-17 | Pastor Keith Bergstrom
Series: Luke: A Doctor's Insight
If Jesus is going to build His church, if His movement is going to last beyond the first century, Jesus would need to pass on His mission and authority to His disciples. When they went out on their own, they were to expect hospitality. News of God's Kingdom should be welcomed. If not, "shake the dust off your feet", go to people who will welcome you. Disciples of Jesus are not spectators. Disciples obey Jesus even without understanding all the details. Disciples use the opportunities they are given to advance God's Kingdom.
