Four Antidotes for Anxiety.

Most anxiety is self-centered, and it's counter-productive.

1. Rejoice in the Lord. It's a chosen attitude. God is near you, Philippians 4:4-5. Sing/say the power and glory and goodness of God. Rejoicing tempers your spirit and brings gentleness.

2. Pray, Philippians 4:6-7. Be in God's presence, and tell him your concerns and your thanks. God gives you a peace, because He is in control.

3. Think right, Philippians 4:8-11.  A. Control your thoughts. Think about what you're thinking about. B. Correct your thoughts. C. Cleanse your thoughts with God's Word.  D. Claim God's presence.

4. Practice what you already know, Philippians 4:9. Anxiety comes when there is a disconnect between your spiritual knowledge and your behavior.
