The essence of discipleship is service. The reward for being a faithful servant is more responsibility. God entrust power, influence, and responsibility only to those who have proven themselves faithful. Further, as a servant the more we know our Master's wishes, the more accountable we are to obey them. We are ready for our Master's return if we are a good and faithful servant.
