Who is God? What’s He like? Exodus 34:6-7 tells us He’s compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, He maintains love to thousands, forgives wickedness, rebellion and sin, and He doesn’t leave the guilty unpunished. God is just and fair. The prophet Isaiah had a vision of this good God, and Isaiah was overwhelmed and aware of how “not good” he was. But God, in his grace, forgave Isaiah and removed his guilt. After that, God called Isaiah into His service, and Isaiah was eager to go! If we’ve encountered God in all His goodness, I trust you’ll say, “I’m at your service. Just name it. Send me!”
